Ever Feel Torn Between Change And Staying The Same? Growth!
Is Growth painful? Do you feel that personal growth and spiritual growth are essential for each other? People have a tendency to separate the two concepts completely. When really study the two concepts you will most probably find that they are coupled together with finding balance on your life’s journeys. Let’s take a look at a simple definition for each of these two.
What is Personal Growth (Personal Development)
It seems that a clinical perception is that personal growth and development is defined by whatever is related to the numerous methods for enhancing your mannerisms, conduct, behaviors and attitudes and reactions to events and stimuli.
Importance Of Personal Development
Here are several illustrations of what we would classify as areas of the human being makeup and areas of personal growth that often require some focus when it comes to this adventure.
Positive Personal Development Activities
- Controlling anger
- Defeating procrastination
- Mastering lazy tendencies
- Empathic tendencies of consideration and politeness
- Personal responsibility, owning up
- Continue learning and education
- Creating a positive mindset
Personal growth is not something that comes overnight. It requires true requires motivation on your part. This desire to make your life better may come easily to you but carrying it is another story. The status quo is the enemy of true change. It occasionally includes taking on the challenges of life. What we believe has much to do with how we see life and living it to the fullest.
The belief systems that you may have around life are not necessarily and most probably not yours. They have been defined by many people from your life such as friends, peers, parents ( a biggy) teachers leaders and many more. Even strangers that you have had a short conversation with may have instilled a belief in you that may not correspond to positive growth but accepted none the less.
Whatever these beliefs are once you make up your mind to go forward, to grow, you can learn the skills to differentiate those concepts that help you and that you may wish to keep from those that do just the opposite.
How Do You Learn Personal Growth?
Personal growth can come from areas such as literature, self-help books, posts such as this on the internet or in print media, attending seminars and workshops and one on coaching from those who have something worthwhile to teach you.
Personal growth has so much to offer you in all aspects of your life.
Here are some wonderful personal growth quotes I would like to share with you:

What Is Spiritual Growth
Many people who have walked this path before you will most probably attest to the idea that when you expand your spirituality and connect with your true spiritual nature that it will affect you in a positive manner. You can experience life as a more fulfilling adventure in which you are happier, more centered and even more physically healthy.
Your true nature is Spirit. You have heard this before. You are a spiritual being having a human experience. The issue, however, is that we often disconnect with this nature. We forget the wonderfulness and the strength of living from our spiritual essence. I am not talking about running around with a religious or god fervor. I am addressing the fact that we have a very strong center, all of us, that can change lives. Your Spirit core is where you have all the information you will ever need as well as it is the source to special supernatural gifts such as Psychic abilities.
Spirit offers such emotional strength as compassion, understanding, and love. Fear does not exist on that plane. It does not matter if you are religious or not, believe in The God or not. Spirituality is all about who you truly are.
Spiritual growth may be somewhat of a misnomer. It sort of precludes that the spirit can be improved upon. Not so. The spiritual nature of who you are is perfect in every sense. Spiritual growth is more of a connection, an unveiling, a process of removing the film of false dogma, ideas, and beliefs about Reality we have covered this knowledge with. We are so much more than our bodies, minds, emotions, and thoughts. These are all ego based concepts in essence. Who you truly are is so far beyond that.
Spiritual growth will bring you to a much greater understanding and reconnection to your very being. The Spirit is not bound by time or space. Yet we have forgotten or even ignore this level of truth about ourselves. We keep it in the dark guarded by sentinels such as fear, false beliefs, uncertainty, and life’s stressors.

Now it is time to look at how personal growth and spiritual growth go together or not. Lets us first look at Duality which is why balance is actually needed. As for Duality’s literary definition it can be used to describe various aspects of religious and spiritual precepts. It can be witnessed in modern western spirituality as well an assortment of Asian religious mores.
However, it may reflect an assortment of different meanings as well as uses. As implied by the word itself “dual”, duality denotes being made up of two parts with the likelihood of being opposite in nature. We could define duality with the extreme example of good and evil. Our planet Earth is made up of opposites. Some duality examples: up and down, in and out! male and female. If there are two sides to a coin, metaphorically speaking, there’s a duality. The most considered in a way is the duality of life and death. The physical and spiritual bodies are an expression of duality.
With this in mind as long as you have a physical body you must navigate your way through life and the duality of life’s opposing forces and you will most possibly continue to experience some form of intellectual or spiritual growth. Some people believe they can achieve a state of bliss, where life ceases to be a struggle, is attainable.
However Spiritual mastery on Earth comes from being a master of balance as well as being able to tune in. Balance is difficult to attain because of the internal battle in regards to the duality of man’s true nature. Also, things on Earth are always of a dual nature which in turn can change your consciousness. Yet this can also be positive in nature. It can cause you to expand positively as a result of these seemingly opposite sides of you.
We all have to live in this world be we do not have to be of it. In other words, you do not have to allow the search for the worldly pleasures to drive you. There is more to it.
Life Purpose and Your Chakras
The 6 Ways Of Achieving Balance In Life:
Merge Physical And Spiritual Activity: Focus on the present and the task you are doing. Walks in nature while meditating are very balancing. Basically, anything that will increase your vibration.
Intention Setting And Manifestation: It is wonderful to have loving spiritual nature however we live in the world. There is a formula of Manifestation that is very useful to understand this concept: emotions develop into thoughts develop into actions = results. An action is a critical element. Whether it is your action or the Universes it is required. You can be as spiritual as you wish, you still have to get off your butt.
Nurture Loving Relationships: Show your love in caring ways for those who are dear to you.
Be Charitable And Give: This does not just mean monetarily. Be generous with love and time. In order to be an inflow of which of these you want there needs to be an outpouring of the same. Just like electric energy, spiritual energy has to be allowed to complete a full circle.
Receive: Some people are amazing givers but terrible at receiving gifts of any kind even love. Allow yourself the blessing of letting people in.
Money And Spirituality: We do need money to live. This an understood fact of life. So these two may seem to be opposite in nature but they really do not need to be. It isn’t money that is the evil. Money is just green energy. It is the constant need for more that causes the duality and imbalance. You can call it greed.
