Emotions and the second chakra part 2 is all about learning to access our emotions while still being in control. There are all types of emotions and each emotional message is different. Human feelings and emotions like fear can be experienced as debilitating, whereas positive emotions, such as joy, have you feeling on top of the world.
Each emotional message is different. Some of our emotions like fear can be experienced as debilitating, whereas others, such as joy, have you feeling on top of the world.
Either way, you need to understand the source of your emotion so that you can respond appropriately. Some kinds of emotions may need to be overcome, like learning to tether a wild horse. Others may need to be cultivated and nourished.
Were Your Emotions Programmed When You Were Young?
Much of how we experience our emotions is down to our childhood experiences. If we are in denial of an experience we had as a child that made us angry or afraid. These examples of emotions may continue and we may tend to deny these when they surface later on. This can especially be true if the adults around us at the time swept our experiences and emotions under the carpet rather than encouraging us to express them.
Do You Suppress Feelings In Response To Other Judgments?
Or if we were told that “children should be seen and not heard” we may limit our joy and enthusiasm. Other people’s judgments about emotions can go on influencing us long after they initially judged us. This is because if we want people to like us then we may internalize their judgment.

To open your sacral chakra and access your information about your emotions, it is helpful to examine and release your childhood experiences around the expression of your emotions. If you were told “Big boys don’t cry” or “always put a smile on your face” then you may not allow yourself to experience your sadness and grief.
It can also be beneficial to meditate on the beliefs that people who influenced your life had about emotions. You may find that you inadvertently accepted them as your own beliefs. Once you let them then it can be difficult to release them and they can interfere with your life.
Some sacral chakra imbalance symptoms may present as this loss of emotional control. One way to work on this type of unbalanced sacral chakra you may choose to practice a sacral chakra meditation until you gain control.
