What Are Ley Lines? – UYT019

The History Of Ley Lines!

One of the not so common areas of interest in the Metaphysical realm is Ley Lines and their energy. So what are Ley Lines? How were they discovered? The idea of ‘ley lines’ was derived by Alfred Watkins. He discusses it in his books Early British Trackways and The Old Straight Track. He also pulled ideas from previous concepts about alignments. Most specifically he quoted information from the English astronomer Norman Lockyer, who had the opinion that ancient alignments could be related to sunset and sunrise during the different solstices.

In 1921, He visited Blackwardine in Herefordshire. He was going along a road close to a town that basically didlocations were linked together like a chain of fairy lights not exist any longer. In exploring an ancient Roman site he evaluated the landscape on both sides of the road he had been traveling along. He compared them to the features on the old map he was using. While staring at the map he had a vision of what may be called aspects of the land that came together “like a chain of fairy lights”. To examine this phenomenon further, he went to the top of a nearby hill. He noticed straight paths connecting hills.

Alfred was under the belief that in olden England when forests were abundant, the land was interwoven with many of these byways with major features of the countryside used as direction-finding aides. He called these paths ‘ley line’. The reason he used this term is that many of these lines went through towns with names that contained the syllable ‘ley’.

What Are Ley Lines And How Do They Relate To The Legends Of Dragons?

What is this so-called phenomenon of Ley lines? Are Ley lines magic? They are seemingly arrangements of specific land formations and places where ancient religions such as that of the Druid’s, found to have created important spiritual value and also may have erected temples, with seemingly significant cultural or religious meaning. Maybe they communicated with the spiritual realm in these locales. They do set your intuitive “spidey senses” a tingle when visiting them. They are also found to have magnetic properties. I have not noted any negative effects of Ley Lines so far.

These Ley Lines are claimed to be power spots such as sites of ancient temples and other noteworthy structures. These are areas where transformation occurred and still do. For instance, the ley lines Stonehenge have seemed to emanate strongly. They are also known as dragon lines and are found to run transverse the earth’s magnetic field creating an energy matrix, energy vortexes, around the globe. Here is a link to some North American ley lines in western regions. It is said that animals use these lines to migrate and also find historic breeding grounds. Many past civilizations have used these lines as well to travel and build their holy buildings in areas where these lines crossed

The Curious Tug Of Ley Lines

Ley lines are purported to join places such as the Great Pyramids of Egypt with Stonehenge. Some numerous individuals and groups have a belief that there is a specific network of earth energies that circles our planet. They believe that these grids connect significant and holy sites such as Stonehenge used by the Druids, the Egyptian Pyramids used by the Pharaohs and their priests, and the Great Wall of China.

If you draft out these sites along with others on a map you will find something rather unusual that becomes quite evident. A large pewhat do dragons, kundalini, and ley lines have in common?rcentage of these sites can be joined directly to each other with straight lines. This brings forth the question of whether these shrines and holy sites were particularly built at specific locations by ancient civilizations and their people. It is also evident that they seemed to have some form of understanding about these specific regions and the special earth energies that are exceptionally powerful along these “ley lines”.

Some questions I am asked about these phenomena on this episode are:

  • How to find ley lines?
  • Is my house on a ley line?
  • Can you find ley lines with dowsing rods?
  • Are ley lines paranormal?

Why are they called Dragon Lines? What do dragons, Kundalini, and ley lines have in common? One thing is that they are all considered legends or myths in some way. As an example, the creation myth of Australian aborigines, the rainbow serpent, told the story of two energy currents, one current being male and the other female. These energies were said to originate in Uluru and circled the Earth connecting power centers.
