What Is The Fifth Chakra And Its Properties?
I have many students who are new to the world of intuitive gifts ask me what is the fifth chakra really or how do I enhance its properties. To answer the first question the fifth chakra is one of the seven major chakras and governs all aspects of communication and is also called the throat chakra. The throat chakra location is self-obvious, in the throat. The nerve plexus for this chakra is the laryngeal plexus, which controls the throat, shoulders, arms, and voice. As you can imagine from its position it governs many aspects of spiritual and physical communication. It is connected with the ears and hearing and with the voice, as well as gestures we make with the hands and arms when we use body language to communicate with others.
The Thyroid Gland And The Fifth Chakra
It is associated with the thyroid gland, which is a butterfly-shaped gland that wraps around 
the front of the windpipe. This gland produces hormones that influence every organ, every tissue, and every cell in the body. Thyroid hormones regulate the body’s metabolism and organ function. They affect the heart rate, cholesterol level, body weight, energy level, muscle strength, skin condition, menstrual regularity, memory, and many other conditions. In other words, our thyroid communicates with our entire body and has much to do with regulating our overall health and well-being.
Throat Chakra Blockage Symptoms
When you have any issues with this nerve center like an overactive throat chakra or if it is unclear it can lead to various physical issues. If you are experiencing any of the following problems then you may have a blocked fifth chakra and require a throat chakra healing:
- Hearing throat or voice problems.
- Feeling unfulfilled creatively
- Boredom or being boring.
- Speaking too loud or fear of speaking out.
- Poor communication and a lack of intimacy in relationships.
- Feeling uninspired and disconnected from your spiritual guidance.
- Coughing, a stutter, poor metabolism, thyroid gland problems, and the flu.
