Words And Language Are More Than Just Communication Tools
Many people in our society do not understand the power of words. The reason that words have such power is that one of the few things that we all have in common is that we all communicate through words and language of some sort. We have words to describe everything that we know, see, feel, and think. The Bible uses ‘Word’ to denote Jesus Christ; ‘In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.’
Even when we say “I don’t have words to describe…” there is a meaning behind it that is understood by everyone.
So what can we glean from this fact about humanity? Why are these words we speak so terribly important? Well, what you use to vocalize your thoughts are the exact mechanisms with which you create your reality. Basically, your emotions become your thoughts; your thoughts are made up of words, and when you speak them your reality and that of everyone else who hears them is changed forever.
If you have been in a relationship you would surely understand this. You can make a relationship great or tear it apart. How many times have you said something to someone you care about only to hurt their feelings or maybe to encourage them, ‘make their day’? And of course, you have most certainly have heard that “you can’t take back what you said”. For this reason, it may benefit you and all those you come into contact with to decide to select only the very best words to create a reality that is pleasant for all.
I would like to use some of the power of words quotes to stimulate your process:
“Be mindful when it comes to your words. A string of some that don’t mean much to you may stick with someone else for a lifetime.” –Rachel Wolchin
The Power Of Words Your Words
Language, words, and writing are how you make your ideas thoughts, and beliefs physically real. They are your tools and, as any tool can, may be used in a positive or even negative way. Words can even be used as weapons. Whether you deliver or receive verbal abuse, it is easy to deny it causes harm: “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never harm me.” However, verbal abuse can cause deep psychological damage. Harsh words hurt feelings!
“Raise your words, not your voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder.” –Rumi
The Power Of Words: Mind Your Language
Language can also be used to control people. Words vibrate with the energy and intention they are delivered with. Some people even have what they call a Power Words List to use for certain situations like business or sales meetings to control the outcome.
Over time some words become permanently imprinted with a negative vibration and instill strong emotions whenever they are uttered. Try saying “bomb” in an airport security check line up! The use of certain words has even been legislated against because they have been deemed to be racist, sexist, insulting, harassing, and so on as well as harsh words can hurt.
Most people pass their true thoughts and beliefs through an ‘appropriateness filter’ before speaking them out loud. The power of our words should not be underestimated. If you do this you may not be arrested at the airport, but are you limiting your self-expression?
- Do you often say one thing, but think another?
- Do you censor yourself through politeness?
- Do you hold back as it would unacceptable to share your thoughts in polite company?
The trouble is that this can mean you fail to deliver a strong enough message at a time that it is needed and you could remain unheard due to your own limits. Yet remember harsh words can stir up anger and hurt feelings.
“Handle them carefully, for words have more power than atom bombs.” –Pearl Strachan Hurd
The Spiritual Message Of Words Is Always Clear
We have discovered that you can bring your beliefs into the physical world using the power of words. The meaning of words allows you to not only share information with others it also allows you to project your energy out into the world. Words and language also help you, the spiritual entity, your essence, to feel more real to your physical body as this is how you speak through it.
You are in constant spiritual communication, nonverbal, whether you acknowledge it or not. So you may want to think twice before censoring yourself like this. The spiritual message is always clear. The power of the tongue is limitless yet regardless of what you say, you emit the energy vibration of your thoughts. Your partner in conversation is always aware, on some level of their consciousness, of the true vibration, and so this leads to confusion.
An example is that you say you like someone, but at the same time you are sending a telepathic message that you hate them. If they are paying attention and truly tune the hate is what they will receive, no matter how strong the lie.
“Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.” –Mother Teresa
The Power Of Words and Affirmations
So now that we understand that the power of words can actually change your reality let’s look at how to use this to your benefit.
Our beliefs and thoughts around them will influence what we manifest in our lives. However, one postulates that the true strength lay in our words. Our words render strong affirmations of our deepest thoughts and feelings. They are a testimony to your whole world of how you see and feel your life, yourself, and other people and things. These potent affirmations or intentions we set using these words is what enables our thoughts to manifest into the physical world, our reality. Knowing this why is it that we still choose to use or misuse our most powerful tool of creation?
“All I need is a sheet of paper and something to write with, and then I can turn the world upside down.” –Friedrich Nietzsche

The Power Of Words: Choosing Wisely
The lives that people live are fraught with positive and negative experiences bot, however, most love to wallow in the negative. Keeping this in mind, when we whine or gripe about our lives these negative feelings that have become words don’t heal the situation. They can actually make things worse by constantly reinforcing and refreshing the negativity that surrounds them. When you repeat things out loud often enough, like when trying to create a new good habit, you begin to believe them in your own mind and often enough in the minds of those people that you share your opinions and thoughts.
Do really want to continue to create the reality that is filled with negative beliefs about your life or yourself. So why encourage it with negative words.
Begin to consciously select the words that empower you and others.
When you use these two little words “I Am” they contain an amazing power. How you choose to end the sentence ‘I am…’ represents what you feel about who you are to all those in earshot.
I would like to use some of the power of words quotes to stimulate your process:
“Whether you think you can or whether you think you can’t, you’re right.” – Henry Ford
“If we understood the power of our thoughts, we would guard them more closely. If we understood the awesome power of our words, we would prefer silence to almost anything negative. In our thoughts and words, we create our own weaknesses and our own strengths. Our limitations and joys begin in our hearts. We can always replace negative with positive.” –Betty Eadie
The Power Of Words And Fear
Many emotions roll around in our minds and hearts regularly. These es emotions will stem from two main seeds, love or fear. When you are spouting negativity which of the two do you think is the basis of the or the root of your thoughts. As you are speaking these words do they make you feel better or worse? What you are doing is manifesting your worries, doubts, and dread into the real world, your world, your reality.
So choose your words kindly from love, boldly from caring, and consciously from Spirit. Speaking from a place of true love for yourself and others will create the reality that you and everyone dream about.
“Words have no power to impress the mind without the exquisite horror of their reality.” –Edgar Allan Poe
