You Are The Light That Lights Your Life!
When you let your light shine what you are actually doing is you, as a spiritual
being which is the true nature of who you are in a physical body, is allowing your higher self to be exposed. The true let your light shine meaning is allowing exposure of your higher self which is love.
One of the goals we all should have walking in this world is to do exactly that, to be the best spirit beings that we can be. We are spiritual beings that are unique yet all a part of the whole. No one else is like you and no one else can offer the world what you can offer. You are special and you should let your light shine down.
Which Teachers Have Let Their Light Shine
Many modern and historical characters let their light shine. Perhaps some of the most powerful and loving words spoken or written are from Marianne Williamson quotes. One of the most famous quotes along these lines, and what for me are some of the most inspirational words ever written from: A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of “A Course in Miracles”, Ch. 7, Section 3 (1992), p. 190, and were used by Nelson Mandela in his 1994 Inaugural Speech::
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously permit others to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
All the great spiritual teachers have told us to do this. They have used the symbol of light to encourage us to shine brightly and be ourselves. It doesn’t matter what religion they now represent being the light of the world is the important part.
Let The Light Shine, Let Your Light Shine And Be Yourself
Even though you may have problems understanding this you are very special.
The world would not be the same place without you. No matter how you feel about it or think differently you have changed people’s lives. You have made a difference. I try to this little light of mine shine and you too should let your little light shine because…
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. And people don’t light a candle and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, where it gives light to all. In the same way, let your light shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” – Jesus
Let Your Light Nourish Others
“Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.” – Buddha
We are spiritual beings having a physical experience. This makes us all special. So go on – find ways to let your light shine and be that special light shining in the darkness making the world a better place to live!
When you look at Matthew 5:16, the message is clear…“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
