Can Laughter Heal Painful Emotions?
There are social benefits of laughter but is it true laughter heals painful emotions? When it comes to physical practices for releasing emotional pain there are several emotional healing techniques one can use. However, the fastest way to heal painful emotions is with amusement, laughter therapy. It isn’t the first time that you have heard that laughter is the best medicine. It is in a way. It is very difficult to maintain a negative emotional feeling and truly laugh. They are emotional opposite poles.
Laughter Heals, Why Humor Therapy?
We all go through times of trials when we are suffering. A time when emotional pain is too much and we feel totally lost. These are times when we are desperately searching for a method for healing deep emotional wounds or even healing emotional wounds from childhood. It’s tough on the psyche and the heart. There are real physical benefits of laughter. Laughter heals! It also helps in releasing emotions stored in the body. When it is time to release emotions bottled up there can be a real struggle that brews up. There is a difference between emotional pain versus physical pain. Yet the two are not mutually exclusive.

Knowing how to release emotions from the body and heal these wounds and scars is the roadmap or steps to inner healing and the path to spiritual inner healing as well. There is a meditation for healing emotional pain that can be used very successfully. However, if meditating is not your forte then there is another way of healing emotional pain that really works for releasing negative emotions. The benefits of humor and the healing power of laughter and pain management go hand in hand. Quick note, using humor to hide pain is not recommended. Basically, you will find that the laughter is not authentic.
Laughter Heals, Value Of Laughter And Healing
Negative emotions have a very low frequency which keeps you down. On the other hand, laughing has a very high frequency that can be used to uplift and heal. Side splitting laughing when in emotional pain takes you out of your troubles and moves the healing process ahead quickly. The importance of laughter is that it is impossible to focus on your problems while doing so. Trapped emotions seem to just vanish in thin air. You are actually laughing the pain away. Keep laughing and the world will seem to be a much brighter place. “When you laugh, the whole world laughs with you.” If you find you need some help you can always book a healing session with me as well.
