Why Do I Hear Voices In My Head?
One of the main psychic abilities is Clairaudience or clear hearing which is a trait of the 5th chakra. When you are hearing voices in your head spiritual communication is probably occurring. When this begins to happen many people become quite disturbed. Of course, you may think something else is happening.

Clairaudience Signs
Whether it is actual voices, ringing in your ears, or even songs or music playing in your head and you may begin to wonder. The question many people ask is “if it is clairaudience or schizophrenia“. This can be disconcerting. However, in most cases, these are signs of developing clairaudience or in actuality, it is that your spiritual gift is re-awakening.
I say re-awakening because you were born with this ability. However, it just went dormant for a time like most of the other twenty or so psychic abilities that you brought with you into this lifetime.
Clairaudience and telepathy, which we will discuss in our future shows, are very similar. Generally, you will feel that you are hearing someone talking. You may hear only simple words or full conversations. In the case of clairaudience, this communication will be from the other side of the veil. Telepathy will be people on this plane of existence.
Hearing Voices At Night Before Sleeping
Often, especially at the beginning of your awakening, your clairaudience will tune in when you are meditating or relaxing. This will commonly occur just before you drift off to sleep. You may begin by hearing muffled voices at night. Then you may hear someone calling your name ( I just got goosebumps). This could be from friends or relatives that have passed over. These voices could also be from your spirit guides or angels.
What also may show up are songs. These tunes will have a special significance to you or even contain specific information meant only for you or maybe for another.
Often your clairvoyance will be activated when there may be imminent danger and your guides are warning you off with chiming bells or horns. You may not even be aware that you have these guides that watch over you but they are there. You just have to “listen”. Using your clairaudience of course.
Why Don’t I Hear Anything? 
Sometimes not hearing things can be worse than actually getting messages. One of the main reasons that you aren’t receiving messages is that you are just not taking the time to do so. At first, it takes a little effort to hear. It is much like tuning into a radio station. You need to play with the dial a little before it comes in clear. The main reason for this is that you are focusing on this physical plane of existence which is your human life and it keeps you busy as well as quite preoccupied.
How To Develop Clairaudience
The way to tune into your clairvoyance and begin hearing voices in your head, spiritual messages from those on the spiritual plane is to create a daily meditation practice. Meditation is the fastest way to get in touch with your higher self, Spirit.

Stands to reason that if you get in touch with your Spirit in turn you will also get in touch with these gifts. Again clairaudience is one of the many spiritual gifts that you have in your psychic superpower arsenal. They are yours so why not use them.
I would be remiss if did not add one more thing. Clairaud
ience will also open your Spirit to communication from the Universe itself. One could say messages from God and the angels. This is much like prayer. Ask a question and then listen for the answer. It works.
Regardless of the reason why you would like to develop this wonderful gift, it is there just waiting for you. Take the leap. I guarantee that it will not only be enjoyable but also very beneficial to you and those around you.

- T.C. – When the music or the high pitch vibrations are too loud or it won’t stop, I just ask them to turn it down. This usually works. Yes, hearing a song. I will look up the song lyrics. As far as the vibration noise, I have no clue what that means

- K.R. – My sister was hearing low maybe jazz music, sounding like an old radio station. She heard it anytime things were quiet enough. I’m wondering if this is something you would consider clairaudience? She is not into this kind of thing and not meditating so I don’t know

- T.F. – It can be hard to understand what the message is that my guides are trying to tell me. Is there a technique that I can use to understand the message more clearly?

- K.R. – I’m also interested, Dr. Lesley, the one time I heard someone say my name when I was in between awake and going to sleep, it was very clear. It was a man’s voice. And I was amazed and startled by it. Wishing I could know who was talking to me. Any ideas?

- P.A. – Hi! I’ve popped into this series only a few times but I thought I would ask for you to explain “Psychic Attacks”? For lack of a better term, that’s just how another friend has described them to me.
- L.B. – I’ve found that as I get into deeper meditation, my heart Chakra all the way up through my crown chakra gets really expanded. This is where I find I connect with my spiritual guide. I also find that as I defocus my sight, that’s where the images start moving through. It’s all so opposite of intellect.
