How To Meditate Daily For Maximum Effect
Many teachers will tell you that there are 10 stages of meditation. When you first begin to meditate and look at these different stages and levels can become daunting. My studies and have shown me that meditation should be made as simple as possible especially for beginners just learning how to meditate. Complicating it with levels and needing to name the stages such as Novice, Skilled, or even Guru is not required.
Stages Of Meditation
The true purpose of mediation is to reconnect with your higher self. We are all spirit at our core and will always be so. Spirit is not bound by time or space. Spirit is also not limited in any other way. Trying to name the different stages of connecting to spirit just doesn’t make sense. You are either connected or not connected. Whether you are just beginning a practice or have been doing so for ions the purpose remains the same.
Meditation Techniques: What Meditation Should I Do?
Yes, there are so many types of meditation I can hear you now, “what meditation should I do?” Have you ever tried to meditate but had issues with the type of or style you tried. I hear the question “I just don’t know which meditation is right for me” from so many people. These are not unusual issues to have especially with novices. Choosing the right style and then learning how to meditate for beginners can be daunting. However, whether you are practicing meditation techniques for beginners or you have been involved with a specific practice for years the benefits of meditation are well worth the effort. Many people, for instance, have issues with sitting cross-legged in the lotus positing. They just cannot do it. So what! Sit in a chair. The main focus should be doing it not necessarily doing it perfectly.
Meditation Techniques For Beginners and Experts
There are so many meditation styles as well as specific purposes. There are meditation techniques for stress as well as meditation techniques for anxiety, meditation techniques for concentration, and even types of meditation for pain relief. So many to choose from!
There are two main teachings that I feel are important to your meditation practice and when you can master these, which can be done in the first session, you will be well on your way to taking control of many different aspects of your life, mental, emotional and spiritual. As opposed to stages I will use the term stepping stones.
Stages Of Meditation: Meditation Techniques For Focus
Whether you are looking to learn a simple method of how to do meditation at home or advanced meditation techniques you must start somewhere. The first stepping stone is grounding. A grounding meditation can calm your inner beast. It is the release of negative energy into the earth’s core. It is very simple to do and can be practiced when you are alone or in a crown. It entails focusing on your 1st chakra, the root chakra, and creating a stream of awareness from it to the earth. This can look like a cord or a waterfall or any such feature. Then you allow all your negative energy to flow out of your being down this connection to the center of the earth. Simple right?
The second stepping stone is Centering. In all honesty, this can be a little more challenging for some. Not impossible but it requires focusing on your pineal gland where your spiritual gifts can be activated including psychic abilities and intuition. So instead of trying to put it into print, I have created a free guided meditation for you below.
