What Is The Third Chakra And Why Is It So Important?
What is the third chakra and what is its function? The third chakra is also known as the navel chakra – the Solar Plexus chakra and Manipura and is located at the solar plexus just above the belly button. It contains your spiritual information about energy distribution, out of body memory, and out of body experience (or astral travel). This nerve plexus is associated with many of the physiological functions like the lower back, abdomen, digestive system, stomach, liver, spleen, gallbladder, and autonomic nervous system.
This energy center is closely associated with the pancreas, an organ that plays a role in the digestion of food. The pancreas secretes insulin, a hormone that regulates blood sugar and the metabolism needed for carbohydrate digestion. The pancreas also secretes enzymes that modulate the balance of fats and proteins.
Navel Chakra Imbalance Is Present In Many People
Diabetes is within the top 5 common chronic diseases in the USA and Canada. It develops as a result of elevated sugar intake or alcohol, as alcohol converts to sugar when ingested. On a spiritual level, this is caused by a desire for more sweetness in life, without knowing how to get it, so the person resorts to substances like sugar for comfort. There can be a longing for what might have been and a feeling of deep sorrow at their being no sweetness left.
The area of the brain associated with the third chakra is the neocortex. This is an area of higher mental functioning. On a spiritual level, it relates to third-dimensional consciousness (a realm of the physical body) and fourth-dimensional consciousness (how the astral body influences our physical world).
So you can see the importance of this nerve plexus and that if there is a sacral chakra blockage it is critical to alleviating it. When this occurs a chakra cleansing and balancing are in order.
