What Is Deja Vu, Fact Or Fiction?
Why does deja vu happen (meaning in French already seen)? In regards to the Deja Vu theory and experiences, most of us at some point in our lives have had some form of an encounter with this phenomenon. A simple deja vu explanation is that all of a sudden you feel like this has happened before. You have been to a place at some point in time but your memory recall does not seem to agree. You meet someone who seems familiar but you actually have never met the person before in your life.
Why Does Deja Vu Happen?
There are different theories on deja vu and schools of thought when we broach this subject. Some lean towards the explanation that the experience may be the result of “precognition“ or “prophecy.” These are explainable easily as well. You must have a certain belief in these occurrences.
What is Deja Vu spiritually?
What does deja vu mean spiritually in the metaphysical community? Another base of belief is that these incidents have a dream-based explanation. We have dreamt them and forgotten the dreams thus making them seem completely new. Some may just have plain deja vu dreams. Another faction may be convinced that a Déjà Vu feeling of familiarity stems from past lives and having lived the experience previously but that it has been veiled after passing.
Deja Vu Explanation
One explanation for the déjà vu experience is that there could be a split-second lag in conveying data from one part of your brain to the other. What happens is that when a stimulus has been encountered by the brain, one side will receive the message as does another. Then the first part sends the message to the second part but with a small lag of time. Thus the second party receives the message twice. So what then happens it seems to be a memory.
When polled more than 70 percent of the population has reported that they have had some form of Deja Vu
Other Deja Vu Theories
Déjà vu has been strongly linked to temporal-lobe epilepsy. People have experienced an occurrence of this phenomenon just before a seizure. Not only do they have a deja vu experience before the seizure but also during it.
Regardless of whether people have medical conditions or not déjà vu happens in individuals nonetheless. Much speculation goes on in both the spiritual and scientific communities regarding this interesting sensation. déjà vu has been attributed to what one could consider wish-fulfillment or even simple fantasy. Some in the psychiatric realm feel that it can be simply a mistaking or mismatch the brain creates confusing the present with the past.
