Is The Time Is An Illusion Theory Reality?
Is the concept of time an illusion or is the illusion of time being an illusion, the illusion? The idea that time is an illusion is not new to our generation. Various scholars and philosophers all the way back to the ancient Greeks have thought along these lines. Many believed that as the perception of our present time passes that anything that exists will always exist. They conjectured that all events that are real will exist eternally and are truly timeless.
Here Is Einstein On Time
No matter where you live in the world, or your gender, or your age, we all have one thing in
common. The distinction between past, present, and future. This is also known as Time! Or is time? In a famous time is an illusion quote Einstein from a letter he wrote to Besso’s family he alludes to the fact that time is not relevant. He said that although Besso had preceded him in death was of no consequence, “…for us, physicists believe the separation between past, present, and future is only an illusion, although a convincing one”. This reveals that he is quite clear on his concept of the topic.
Regardless of what Einstein thought it seems that we cannot escape it, Time that is! How did this happen you may ask yourself? Simple, time is an illusion perpetrated by the manufacturers of space. Sorry, a little humor. How did it become master over all that exists or at least seems to be? We all feel or think that we have to bend a knee to the power of that ultimate force of the universe or else as the white rabbit in Alice in Wonderland has been heard to say “I’m late, I’m late for a very important date.”
This brings up the topic of past lives. If time is not real does this mean that past lives do not exist either? Does this illusionary concept of the fabric of time rule out reincarnation and karma? So many questions about such an accepted belief system.
Is time real or an illusion, or simply just a manufactured shell game? Is it just an elaborate illusion? This seems to be a well thought out scheme that was created for one simple purpose; to control us? I am certain that at some point in your life you had a sense that time may be being used to control your very essence. So how is time an illusion? Do the past, present and future exist at the same time? The question is time an illusion, brings forth so many other queries and concerns as you have read.
Is Time An Illusion Or A Spiritual Truth
There is definitely a spiritual aspect to the subject of time as well. As Spirit, we are not bound
by time or space. We travel from the ‘now’ to the past or future without effort. We can access any event or conceptual ideal as this wonderful true nature that we all are. So in essence time is irrelevant to us as Spirit beings. We can astral travel and astral project.
So why are the understanding and the answers to this question about time being an illusion so important? Does it have to do with the question we all would really like to have answered? Is death the end of existence? Is time just a way to allay the fear associated with passing back into spirit form? It may even answer the question is time travel possible.
Many of the spiritual gurus and thought leaders of our time and the past believe that time is of no relevance. Here are a few, time is an illusion, quotes that may mirror this belief.
“There is the illusion of time, which is very deep; who has disposed of it? More come to the conviction that what seems the succession of thought is only the distribution of wholes into causal series.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Nirvana is a word that means enlightenment, being beyond the illusion of birth and death, the illusion of pain, the illusion of love, the illusion of time and life.” -, Frederick Lenz
“We are living in a culture entirely hypnotized by the illusion of time, in which the so-called present moment is felt as nothing but an infinitesimal hairline between a causative past and an absorbingly important future. We have no present. Our consciousness is almost completely preoccupied with memory and expectation. We do not realize that there never was, is, nor will be any other experience than present experience. We are therefore out of touch with reality.” – Alan Watts
