Meditation can increase your concentration, help you relax and even improve your emotional well being and physical health. It can benefit everyone, including people who work in stressful jobs such as social workers, health professionals and emergency workers. Meditation benefits children, youth, seniors, parents and families and many other groups and individuals.
How Do I Meditate?
There are many forms of meditation, but one thing they all have in common is to teach you to still your busy mind. Meditation can teach you how to bring your scattered thoughts under control to create a state of peace, happiness and relaxation. The benefits of calming your mind are many and include stress reduction, alleviation of depression and increased mental concentration.
Meditation Reduces Stress And Helps You Heal
Physical symptoms can be the result of inner turmoil and so improving your peace of mind and can help with stress related illnesses, such as heart disease and high blood pressure. What’s more, meditation has been shown to enhance the immune system in ways that help fight cancer and battle infectious diseases. It can even help you heal faster after an operation. The body relaxes when the mind calms down and this is how meditation helps ease physical aches and pains.
Clearer Vision Through Meditation
Many people find that they are better able to tune into themselves and what they want from life when they meditate and for those with a spiritual side meditation can help clear the way for improved communication with a higher power. Once we know what we want, there are also powerful meditation techniques that we can use to create this in our lives and let go of what we no longer want.
I teach a form of meditation that includes stillness and actively working with and moving energy.
We need to be still to know who we are and to receive guidance from the higher levels of our consciousness and we need to be in motion to create change and healing. Both states are important to achieve balance and harmony in our lives.
The meditation techniques I teach are very old. They are the ancient mysteries and were the foundation stones for both western and eastern spiritual beliefs and practices.
Accessible To Everyone
I teach in a non-denominational style so that these skills are accessible to everyone, and in a very practical fashion so that they can easily be incorporated into daily life.
